Especially my closely friends who came from Asia, South Korea, Vietnam will come back to their country during from February to March. Many of my them will soon go back, so I promised them to go out when I finished take tests. My vietnam's friend, han chan told me to go to Vitonam's cafe. I know where is this shop, it's near Kokai shopping street. I wanted to go there long before, so now I'm really looking foward to go there with her.

Another friends were came from Korea. One is Min chan, I was her host family when she came to Kumamoto. Another is Unhi chan who was taking same Japanese grammer's class. I haven't many times to go out with them before, so I'm very happy to meet them before they'll go back to their country. Coming of age day☆

　I had a "Coming of age day 's ceremony" on January 11. I got up 5:30, went to a beauty salon shop at 6:00 a.m. After that I went to make up artist's shop at 7:10 a.m. When I came back home, one of my friend was coming with her mother. My mother is her friend, and my mother can dressing. So they were my house. We went to prefecture's hole by car at 11:15. There were many people, I met many old friends. Many of them are living in another prefecture, so I was so glad to meet them again. We arrived there later, so we were taking pictures with my friends outside of hall. After that we ate griddled octopus dumpling near the hole. First we're worry if food fall down on our kimono. But it was safe for eating slowly. I went to my grand patrent's, uncle's house to show my Sunday best after that. I was very happy to see everyone's smile.

In the evening, I had another event, it was a paaaaarty of my junior high school. I was really happy to meet many closely friends. They called me, talking a lot and took a picture. Especially I was surprised at boy's changing than before. They were taller, face was also little changing. But I found them who they were . Many of them are also going to another prefectures, but I felt I was lucky to live in Kumamoto then. Because they had to back to the place where they are living, and it took costs for a round-trip fare. The party finished very earlier as I expected. My friends invited me to go to another shop, but I had a part time job the next day's morning. So I went home earlier. However some of friends gave me an e-mail. It was an invitation of having a good time. Recently I haven't sent e-mail to them, but I felt that we are connecting after graduate, and it will also keep forever. I had a Eiken, Practical English Proficiency Test at this university's high school on January 24th. I took a test of grade pre first. We have already decided two events of my club event during spring vacation. On Feburary 1st, we will have a party of see you for finishing all tests. We'll eat dinner and talking each other. JAL succumbs to self-inflicted wounds

Tokyo, Japan (FT) -- "I'd like to take a pistol and shoot every JAL executive of the last 20 years," says Hideo Fujiwara, an otherwise gently spoken 72-year-old.

The former pilot flew for Japan Airlines, which is filing for bankruptcy on Tuesday, for 34 years but will see his monthly pension shrink by 40 per cent to Y140,000 ($1,546) as a result of its bankruptcy.

"It's not about the money, it's about dishonest management," he says. "JAL was unprofitable but executives thought nothing of taking Y100m retirement bonuses."

JAL's wounds are indeed mostly self-inflicted. Like many Japanese groups it expanded recklessly in the 1980s, buying resorts, golf courses and shopping malls that plunged in value when the country's real estate bubble popped the following decade.

Management has often been fractious: one chief executive quit in 2005 after a series of safety lapses damaged the company's once-shining brand; another was forced out in a boardroom rebellion the following year.

Yet other elements of JAL's story are familiar to airlines worldwide. A cluster of external shocks over the last decade -- from September 11 to SARS, to soaring fuel prices and the global financial meltdown -- have left it battered. Government handouts are believed to be the only reason it did not fail sooner.

"JAL has always had the protection of the state, so it could put off making hard decisions," says Motoshige Itoh, an economics professor at the University of Tokyo. While big US carriers such as United Airlines, US Airways and Delta Airlines went through court-protected restructurings in the first half of the 2000s, it took the financial crisis and recession to finish off JAL.

Osuke Itazaki, a veteran airline analyst in Tokyo, says the restructuring plan being imposed on JAL by the Enterprise Turnaround Initiative Corporation, a state-backed corporate rehabilitation fund, should put JAL on a sound financial footing.

JAL is to cut 15,700 jobs, or a third of its workforce, sell dozens of non-core businesses and, through bankruptcy court, force its banks to write off much of its Y1,440bn in gross interest-bearing debt. Retirees have already accepted an average 30 per cent reduction in pension payouts, and current workers' benefits will fall by half.

"The question," Mr Itazaki says, "is whether things like management culture, strategic direction and quality will improve. Simply fixing JAL's finances won't solve those problems." Either way, the airline is likely to slip below All Nippon Airways in revenue terms in the next several years.

The government recently named Kazuo Inamori, the 77-year-old founder of the Kyocera technology group, to oversee the turnaround effort as JAL's next chief executive, replacing Haruka Nishimatsu, a career JAL insider.

One of Mr Inamori's first decisions will be whether to retain JAL's partnership with American Airlines and the OneWorld alliance or defect to Delta and its SkyTeam group, both of which are wooing the Japanese carrier. "This is a huge decision that could determine the future of JAL," says one official involved in the restructuring effort.

The decision, expected in the next few weeks, will say a lot about the sort of airline JAL managers and the government expect to emerge from bankruptcy. Delta -- whose approach is favoured by the transport ministry and many JAL executives -- already has big hubs in Tokyo and nearby Seoul, unlike the more Atlantic-focused American.

Mario Brothers' Pizza and Pasta

・cost : 15 dollar with two pizza! 10 dollar, lunch buffet.
・dishes : Food is Italian, Pizza and pasta. There are a lot of menu, too large pizza, cheese, tomato, 24 delicious pizza
・Points： Price is smile for us! Mum makes foods, so It takes a time to make it. Location is downtown, it takes only 3 mintes in work from third avenu. Lunch time is from 11:30 to 14:00.

Especially international beer, wine selection, made in Mexico and America is great!
・Points: The place is only 20 minutes outside of town. There are a lot of parking near by street. This restaurant is as a best service in the world in Travel America. Music and landscape is good, there are a live performance.

Mandarin Palace

・cost: It need spend little more than usual.
・dishes: There are more than 60 dishes, famous mandarin duck, sesyuwan beef.

I love animals and I like dogs very much. Now, I don't keep pet in my house. Because my house is an apartment building, so we can't keep pet. Especially, I like a golden retriever. If I buy a dog someday, I want this one. When you entered Kamitori from Namikizaka, you can see a pet shop on the right. I sometimes go there, and I'm looking at puppies. They were very cute like a baby of human.
My favorite puppy is a toy poodle. It is really like a doll, and it has a coat of curly hair. My mother's friend has a toy poodle, a female. I haven't seen her, but my mother met her, and her picture was very lovely. If I become old, I want to keep this one. Because it is like a doll and a baby.
I haven't kept dogs before. But I sometimes watch news about pet shops. It was a miserable condition for puppies. Some pet shops open till late at night, so puppies can't sleep enough. Many of them will grow with serious mental disabilities. I felt really was sorry for them then. So I would like to keep dogs lovingly till their last moment, if I have dogs.

　Hello,everyone! How was your New Year? I had a very good time of it! My oldest sister is good at cooking, so she made some dishes of these picture. Her cooking is very creative and interesting. The most funny food was the middle one of these pictures. It put a bamboo skeweres on a pineapple. I love foods not only them but also my grandmother's, and especially I like mixture of boiled and mashed chestnuts , soup containing mochi, vegetables and other ingredients, popular at the New Year. How about you?? My sister, brother, mother, and I were playing a card games! We were playing so into " a multimillionaire" , and played till 1:15 p.m. The next day, we ate traditional Japanese food prepared in advance for consumption during the first day three days of the New Year and containing various specified ingredients. My grandfather always orders it, the amount is so much, so we can't finish to eat it in the course of one day. Finally we took them to home.

We visited three shrines, Kitaoka shinto, Honmyou temple, Fujisakiguu shinto in the New Year's afternoon, so there were not so many people. My aunt, grandfather's sister bought me griled corn and Umegae mochi at Fujisaki shinto. I was very happy beacause of my favorite foods. After eating dinner, I played card games with my family. My grandmother was strong as I expected. We always play "Kirifu", and I almost lose it to her when I go there every time. But we had a very nice time in the New Year. 　I watched "AVATAR" with my Chinese friend yesterday. I invited him to go there. Of course, he isn't my boyfriend. He is only my friend who made a pair in YMCA's Japanese conversation volunteer. First I was going to show him to Kokai shopping street, but he was late. So we went to cineplex. We went to video rental shop before we go there. He told me "I watched this movie and anime. It is popular among University student and Chinese" I felt that anime is great beacause it was known among foreign countries then. I felt world is connecting in times.

We watched "AVATAR" in 3-D. This movie was 162 minutes, so it was so long. But I got into it and it was amazing world. I liked this world where connect to nation's spirit. They can ride on like a wild bird. If I could go to the AVATER's world, I want to try it and feel the splendor of the beauty of nature. I also learned how human's mind is terrible! It was not only desire but also insensitivity for the war's damage.

Now, we haven't happen world war recently. But some countries are conflicting happen now. I thought we had to think not only ourselves but also others and another living things.

This trick was easy if you found one way to solve it. Chip had already known and found it, so I thought he was clever. His idea was very helpful for Captain Crow. I felt I would like to have a good idea.

Then they took their old things. Biff and Chip took the house home, but one of the books made a hole in the roof, Kipper was cross. Suddenly the magic took them their house long time ago.

I like time machine, so I want to get their magic key. They always can experience at various places. They learned something from this time trip. You really should read if you want to know about it.

Gran bought the fast car. Mum was cross with Gran. The magic took Gran and Biff and Chip to a race. A bad man who was called the Baron looked at Gran. Baron set a trap to win the race. Bat Gran won the race! After they came back to original world, Gran changed her car from fast to little!

I liked Gran because of her mind is tough, so I thought she won the first prize after beat the Baron. He was really bad man. Compared with his deed, her deed changed to good. The point about this book is energetic activity of Gran in the race!

　Annena put on her scarf which she made. Biff and Chip and she went to the park. Some children pulled her scarf. A boy went to on the ice on the pond cracked and he fell in. Anneena's mum made a rope with scarves and coats! Everyone pulled the rope. The boy was safe.

First I thought this kind of story is like reality. Annena's scarf is certainly very long. So I would like to try to make a scarf like hers someday. Some friends laughed at her. But she said " I'm glad
I made it long" , so I felt what a hearty girl she is! If you'll read this story, you'll find it's a heartwarming story.

A strawberry roll ♡

Do you know "A bon marche"? It is my favorite cake shop's name♪I loooooove "A strawberry roll" !! I ate it yesterday. It's delicious and took 1100 yen. First I thought it looked like little expensive for me, but I had to stay at home to finish my homework. So I bought it in reward for me. My second oldest sister came to my house with her two sons. Now my oldest sister is staying at my home . I forgot about that, so it was just good for us. We ate it after eating my second sister's curry. Today's dinner was not only them but also baguettes of smoked salmon!! We usually eat smoked salmon with sour cream, but my family dosen't use it. Do you know smoke salt? I think we can buy it at imported foods shop "plunie clue"? I'm sorry. I don't remember shop's name exactly. But sound is like this. And one super which have imported foods also sell this salt. Our family always add smoked salt to yogurt. Its taste is like sour cream. I love this sauce because of it is healthy for us!! I went to the Kumamoto prefectural theater with two friends of my club members. On December 27th a swing band club's jazz concert was held there. We helped them as receptionists.
Doors opened at 5 p.m. and the end of the concert was at 8:30 p.m. We gave propaganda pamphlets to customers. The numbers of them were about over one hundred people. Everyone brought presents to swing band club members. Some people gave us cream puffs and sweets. Swing club gave us lunch box for dinner, we ate it in backstage after the work was over. And a president of a club came there and gift an assortment of sweets. Our help was useful for them, so I was very happy. It took many times to finish this work. But this kinds of activities maked my heart warm unitl now, so this time wasn't hard for me. And I was so happy to meet friends during the winter vacation. Our group's idea is to make the bar at KGU. First almost people was surprised at our idea. Because there are no University which has the bar. So some student disagreed our opinion, but our idea's bar is different from normal. If students don't need alchol drinks. we'll make the bar which has only non alchol drinks. Our bar is not the place where we only drink alchol drinks. We think that there is many chance to know unknown students of KGU through they talk each other. An atomosphere of the bar is a homely and freedom. So we think that many students can stop at our bar easily. We asked KGU students what do you want at the bar. They answered about many things. So we will take in their answers when we'll make the bar. Some students hoped to have a chance they can talk with foreigners and we'll make the day when we can speak with exchange students. Another students told us the bar needs limit of the time. It was just till twenty four pm. Because they had to go back for the tomorrow and the bar is at KGU. We hope many students will meet unknown people of KGU. If you meet one person, your environment and world will may change. And one person is not only one but also another person. Our hope is KGU students will connect many friends of KGU people. Then we think our University will more wonderful than now. The reason is if many students will meet many people, they will may start some new things together. Recently I feel to have friendship with many people is very important thing for us. I belonged to tea ceremony club from this year. I made many good memories there. It is not only them but also another people. I saw a woman who is a KUstudent when we had a school festival. Her acquaintance who is a graduate KPU student have volunteer English conversation class at KU. She invited me this activity, so I joined it. After that I also joined their Christmas Party. It was really good to know about real meaning of Christmas. I think now is more happier than before. So my life changed of meeting with many peoples. I don't think so. If everyone use car more, carbon dioxide will increase faster than now. So I don't agree that idea.

Japanese teaching ability test♪

I had a test of Japanese teaching ability at Kyushu University of Ohasi campus. We stayed at hotel near Hakata station on October 17. As soon as we arrived there, we went to the place where we would take this test. It took 30 minutes from our hotel by bus. After that we backed hakata station, we went to Nakasukawabata to eat dinner. When we arrived there , it was 5:30 pm. We were very happy for eating chinese noodle outdoors. The middle picture of up is this. The taste was based on pigs, noodle was thin. It was really good food, it made me happy and strong. The next day we got up at 6:30. We leaved hotel at 8:00, we went to Kyushu University. This test started from 10:10. Though we had a lunch time, but we finished it at 4:40. You might think it looks too long time to take, but I felt it was short time. Because we had only one minute per one question to answer. Finally the moment when we were waiting came, we could eat cake as a reward of this test. I ate cheese souffle. We were released from this test, it looked like a long way for me. I started to take this class from I was a freshman. Every Monday and Friday after shool were classes about this. It was hard for me for I took many classes at that time. But I achived to finish this class. That reason were friends and companies and a Shimamoto teacher. She was a kind for us, her explain was very helpful for us. I think all of us felt like that. It was very good experience for me, the left picture became my treasure. We took it at Kyushu Universuty after we finished this test. So we were smiling a hearty smile. I received an e-mail from graduate dormitory friend who is Mr. Yamada on Thursday evening. He told me " Mr.Chris who was registered as overseas student from M.S.U. in K.G.U. four years ago is coming to Kumamoto. His wish is that he would like to go to karaoke before he will return home. I hope he will have a very enjoyable in Kumamoto, so I appreciate it if you could come to karaoke with us tomorrow. Please join us! " First I hesitated what to do, but I also wanted to entertain him by karaoke. So I answered " Yes" and I invited tea ceremony club's friends. Only Yuki received my invitation!
We went to exchange student's house on Friday evening. Mr. Yamada and a woman have already arrived there, but the others haven't arrived there. We talked with a woman who came from Osaka. We surprised that she came to Kumamoto by night bus. After that this picuture's man, Mr. Chris came there. He is chemistry teacher in high school now. I saw him at farewell party. So I surprised that he was American, because I thought him was British.

All people gathered there at 19:40 , so we arrived karaoke shop at 20:oo. Everyone ordered many songs one after another, so I tried to order songs as many as possible. It was very interesting! Mr. Chris sang " Yesterday" . I was feeling his voice for it was very beautiful sound. And I also surprised that he speakes Japanese well. Especially when I sang "Sakura" with him, he sang part of rap fluently. It was very fast, but he sang it like Japanese. And I also sang "You raise me up" and " Time to say goodbye" etc. Then one of them was ex-music teacher and ex-opera singer, I sang duet which was "Time to say goodbye" with him. It was very nice! We were singing untill 23:00 pm.

After that we went to Joyful to eat something. Everyone was hungry, so they ordered normal size dishes. I ordered mini hamburger and salad and rice and soup and milcrepe. It was good size for me. We were talking there untill 1:00 pm. It was first experience for me to go out like that time. Though , I had a very good time there, so it is unforgettable memory for me. 　I love Kokai shopping arcade. Many shops are standing in a row. I went there with Fai chan and Han chan today. It was first visit there for Han chan. I introduced green tea shop and we ate green tea soft cream. They were very pleased at eating it. Another we went cheap candy shop,Japanese-style confectionery shop,bakery. I think these places can feel about the Japanese people life. So I always recommend my exchange friends Kokai shopping arcade.
After that we went "Fukutei". It is Korean food restaurant near the city library. It was request for Fai chan who told me "I want to eat Korean food!". We ordered Toppogi and Kimchi chige and Bibinba baked on a hot stone. Especially Toppogi was hot and I drunk water in minutes. This picture's food is Toppogi. But it was like rice cake,so I liked its food's feeling. If you have a time ,please go there! This owner is Korean. So it is real Korean food and you can eat it! I love Kumamoto very much. I have lived there for fifteen years. I was born in Tokyo. My family had lived there for ten years. After that we have lived Fukuoka for two years. And we moved to Kumamoto when I was five years old. So I almost grew up in Kumamoto. Now I will tell you about my favorite places in Kumamoto.
Kumamoto has many historical places. Especially "Suizenji Park" is a tourist attraction in Kumamoto. I like it the park, because I have lived at a nearby company housing when I was five years old. Suizenji Park is a Japanese style garden whose owner was a lord Hosokawa Tadatoshi. He was the first lord of Higo Clan. So this place was his garden and first it made for tea store. I like this view and I feel that Japanese culture is beautiful and very good. I also like harmony of Japanese heart. I am learning tea ceremony to know it at tea ceremony club.
Kumamoto has a lot of hot springs. I love them. Especially I recommend you "Tsetate hot spring" in south of Aso. It is located on the border of Oita and Kumamoto prefecture. That is surrounded by hills. I like this town's atmosphere. I went there on April 5th. There were many crap- shaped streamer swimming in the sky. This is a festival of Tsetate hot spring town. When I soaked in one of hot springs there, it was in front of the stream. This front view relaxed me and the time passed silently. I like this situation because I can rest as I feel a kindly breeze and nature. So this is the most comfortable and tranquil place for me.
Talking of Japanese food, sushi is famous. My favorite turning sushi shop is "Shinsen ichiba". My family often goes there and it is near Kumamoto high school and Kumamoto Gakuen University. I love this shop's conger and broiled sushi. They are very fresh and delicious. I always order soft cream after having eaten sushi. This shop's soft cream is very rich milk. And we can watch craft man's how to make hand shaped sushi. I like this type of shop. And a craft man told me "All fishes are from Kumamoto". So we can eat fresh fish for living in Kumamoto.
There are some tasteful sweet shops in Kumamoto. I knew them from my oldest sister and my childhood friend. I have two favorite sweet shops. One is "COTSWOLDS", tea house. Recently I found this shop, when I went there with my childhood friend. It is in Ginza Street and near ex Kinokuniya book store's doorway. This is famous for its tea and there are many kinds of tea and waffle and also sandwiches and cakes. I liked this shop for atmosphere was restful. Also the cutlery was lovely shape and plate was very cute design, it pleased me. Combination of Clotted cream and maple was very good, and it was like rich milk soft cream.
Another shop is "Sweets Bar". This shop is near Shimotouri's Mac. The owner trained in France, so all cakes are like art. It always thrills me,but it's not too sweet. So everyone can eat and savor them. I felt this shop's atmosphere is like France. And the owner also likes painting. I heard like that from my oldest sister. Several of her pictures are hung on the wall. I like her paintings. So if you visit there, please enjoy eating cakes and watching her paintings. Kumamoto has many good places. My favorite juice is this!!! This was made of Japanese apricot of my grand father. Recently my mother helped to take them,so she gave it from him. I had a party at exchange student's dormitory! This information was from my vietnam friend, Han chann. She sent me an e-mail about this♪I was very glad to her　invitation. The left picture which I took at Sweets bar. This shop is near shimotouri mac. My oldest sister introduced me there! I love this shop's cake!Because this shop's owner has been to France to train of cake. So her cake is like art,it always thrills me♪
The right picture which I took at COTSWOLDS of tea house. I heared this shop from my childhood friend♪ I told her "Recently I want very eat waffle. And I found Maneken's waffle which we can buy at Rawson or Poplar's convenience stores is very nice!" Then she told me "COTSWOLDS tea house's waffle was also delicious!" Last saturday I went there with my friend of high school. It is near ex Kinokuniya book store's doorway. It was first time to go there and I liked this shop for atomosphere was restful. Eating irons was lovely shape and design,it pleased me! And clotted cream and maple's compatibility was very good and it was like rich milk softcream! I recommend it to you!! My family like Sushi very much! We sometimes go to turning sushi shop where is near Kumamoto high school and KGU. I love this shop's conger and broiled sushi!! They are very nice and fresh !! And after eating sushi over, I always order softcream♪♪ This shop's softcream is very rich milk!! And we can watch craftman's how to make hand shaped sushi!! I like this type of shop♪♪ And craft man told me "All fishes are from Kumamoto" So I thought Kumamoto has many good place,food, people♪I am a lucky girl☆ Recently I feel so much! Yesterday I went to Chinese noodle shop after I had a volunteer of YMCA. It is japanese conversation volunteer with foreign countries people. My partner is from Korean. We talked about Japanese woman and Korean women, music from foreign countries, Chinese noodle,etc. After that he told me "Shall we go to Chinese noodle shop?". I said "Ok! Of course!" . So we went to there. I remembered this shop's gyoza was very delicious and I wanted to tell him this shop. He was pleased to eat it. I was happy too!
